Hi ... I'm Greg Sims, Ouachita Parish Constable elected in Ward 8.  Our tax dollars have been paying for Constables for years.  Now, it's time to get some return for your money.  I took office on 01/01/03, and that's the first of many days to come that I've been active in our community ... whether I'm helping stranded motorists or on the side of the roads digging through trash.  Confused?  Keep reading ...

MAIN OBJECTIVE:
We have an enormous litter problem in Ward 8 and the rest of Ouachita Parish.  Constables are supposed to be primary investigators for litter and illegal trash dumping, and should be doing more in this area..  I will be strictly enforcing the litter and trash dumping laws of this state and parish.

Also, I believe that Constables should help keep roadways clear of debris and tractor/trailer retreads.  Constables should also stop and help any stranded motorists (flat tires, engine problems, etc).  In a nutshell, I view the Constable position as a Community Service Officer.
